2. Sukari (Sukkary) Dates

Also from Madinah, Safawi is a black date often compared with Ajwa for its similar colour and origin. However, Safawi is longer, softer, less fibrous and more economical — making it the best everyday Ajwa alternative.
5. Mazafati Dates (Bam Rotab)
A fresh moist date from Bam, Iran, with a glossy-black colour and a very soft, juicy texture. Known as the world's most popular fresh date. Its high moisture (25–30%) requires cold storage. It tastes of caramel with a hint of chocolate.
6. Mariami Piarom Dates
Called "chocolate dates", Piarom is a premium semi-dry date from Hajiabad, Iran. It is elongated, thin-skinned, dark brown to black, with a caramel-toffee, chocolate-tinged flavour. Among the most expensive and finest dates in the world.
